The song was released on both SoundCloud and online music stores on February 25, 2017.[3][4]

Critical reception and response Edit

A writer from BET named it an "unapologetically savage" track.[5] Mitchell Peters from Billboard called it a "scathing diss track" that "doesn’t show any mercy for Minaj."[6]

After it was released, Minaj responded with a pair of Instagram posts.[2] Remy Ma claimed she "didn't expect a response" in an interview on the Wendy Williams Show.[7] A week later, in an interview hosted by BuzzFeed News, Ma stated that she had second thoughts about releasing the diss track, and commented on the difficulties of being a woman in the music industry.[8]When asked if she regrets releasing the track, she said:

Minaj responded to Remy Ma in her song "No Frauds" which was released on March 10, 2017.[10]
