Saturday Night Live (abbreviated SNL) is an American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety. It premiered in 1975, and has been on air ever since. Each episode has a celebrity guest hosting the show, and a musical guest. Nicki Minaj has appeared on the show a total of three times (twice as a musical guest and once as a special musical guest).
Nicki appeared on the show for the first time on January 29, 2011. That was her first time being a musical guest with the host being Jesse Eisenberg. Nicki appeared in the "Bride of Blackenstein" sketch as well as in the SNL Digital Short called "The Creep".
Minaj appeared again as a musical guest on December 6, 2014 (the first time in over three years). The host for the show was James Franco. Minaj's first performance was "Bed of Lies" with Skylar Grey, while her second performance was a medley of "Only" and "All Things Go".
