The American Idol Screening Event was an event held FOX on January 9, 2013. 11 cities across the US had the exclusive opportunity to see the Season 12 premiere episode of American Idol for free one week prior to its debut on FOX. Immediately following, Ryan Seacrest and the judges had a nationwide, interactive Q&A which was lived streamed on www.americanidol.com and www.livestream.com. Fans got the chance to send in questions they wanted to be answered via Twitter and Facebook.
