Swizz Beatz tweeted to Minaj if her fans would be ready for "PYHU." Minaj responded, evading the question, that their previous collaboration, "Roman's Revenge," received a gold certification, on June 27, 2013.[1] He continued tweeting about the collaboration: giving details about the featured artists,[2] that he is mixing the record (prepared to release it "ASAP"),[3] and even posted a sneak peek of the beat.[4] Minaj replied to the tweets of Beatz saying "shhhhh coming soon..."[5] Later, Beatz revealed that a song by him featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz is planned to be released soon.[6]

On August 23, Swizz Beatz released the cover artwork for the record and announced that the song will "drop that today."[7] It premiered, as planned, on radio station Hot 97 during DJ Funkmaster Flex's segment.[8]

Music Video[]

The music video was shot on June 29, 2013 by Taj Stansberry.[9][10] After the song was released on August 23, Beatz confirmed that the video is "on the way."[11] The video was canceled due to unknown reasons.
