Pink Friday Special Edition was a limited edition fragrance by Nicki Minaj released on April 1, 2013. It is her first limited edition fragrance ever, and second scent overall. The fragrance contains top notes of grapefruit, apple and white raspberry; middle notes of lily, jasmine and honeysuckle; and base notes of caramelized pear and musk. The bottle will have the same shape but it will be refreshed with a new color combination.[1]

Minaj commented that Pink Friday, is a reflection of herself and she "wanted to give [her] Barbz a special edition fragrance to wear, adding a bit of dimension and playfulness to the original scent."[2] The new fragrance called "Pink Friday Special Edition" was planned to be released on May 2013[1], but the release date was later changed to mid-April 2013.[3]
Bottle and packaging[]
Like her previous fragrance, Pink Friday, the bottle for Pink Friday Special Edition is in the shape of a bust with a gold head. The only differences in design are the colour of the bottle and the wig. The lips on the 100ml and 50ml (rumored) bottle are pink, while they are left gold on the 30ml bottle. The box design is also similar to the original perfume box, apart from the colour setup.
Release and promotion[]
The fragrance was released in the US on April 1, 2013 at Macy's, Dillards, Belk, Bon Ton, and Lord & Taylor. It was also available for online purchace which sold out in less than an hour. It was released on the same day in Canada on Shopper's Drug Mart.
It was released in the UK on June 18, 2013 on The Perfume Shop. It was suppose to be released in Australia in May 2013, but was released somewhere between July and August 2013. It was released in New Zealand sometime in 2013 as well.
