"Ganja Burn" (originally released under the misspelled title of "Ganja Burns") is a song by Nicki Minaj from her fourth studio album Queen. The song was leaked weeks before its initial release date, though the leak was never acknowledged by Minaj herself.

Background[]

On the second episode of her Queen Radio show with Beats 1, Minaj stated that the track always gives her chills, and that it would be the next video released to follow "Chun-Li" and "Bed".

Shortly after the release of the album, Nicki tweeted saying how she hated how low she made the hook and that she has to get it swapped out. She also commented on the title, implying the correct title is "Ganja Burn", but it was misspelled as she was being pressured for the track list.

Live performances[]

Minaj performed an acapella verse of the track live at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards as part of a medley including "Majesty", "Barbie Dreams" and "FEFE".

Minaj later performed the track live on The Ellen DeGeneres Show along with "Barbie Dreams" and "FEFE."

Music video[]

On August 13, 2018, Minaj published a music video for the track entitled "Ganja Burn". It was directed by Mert and Marcus, who also shot the album cover for Queen, and directed Nicki's video for "Regret In Your Tears". The video follows the same theme as the Queen artwork, being set in a desert with Nicki donning Egyptian-themed attire. With a running time of 6:20, it is Minaj's longest music video.
