The show was hosted by Mike Epps, DJ Khaled was the host DJ and DJ Premier DJed the cyphers. Nicki Minaj received her first nominations this year. She was nominated for six awards (including a double nomination for the category "Perfect Combo Award") and won three including "Rookie of The Year."
