Background[]

In September 2014, Nicki and Madonna both instagrammed a pic of them together in New York. While Nicki said she "ran into Madonna", Madonna captioned her photo, "We go Hard or we go Home we Gon Do this all night long! #werk". She tagged both Nicki and Diplo in the picture. On November 2, she tagged both Nicki and Miley Cyrus in another picture hinting a collaboration, but as later revealed Miley is rumored for another track off her album. Later that month, Diplo officially confirmed a collaboration between Madonna, Nicki, producer SOPHIE, and himself. The song was released on iTunes as a promo/instant grat track on December 20, 2014, and with the complete album on March 6, 2015.

In May 2015, it was confirmed that "Bitch I'm Madonna" would be the third single from Madonna's album Rebel Heart, and would also be receiving video treatment. The remixes, along with cover artwork, were released on YouTube on June 4, 11 & 12, with a digital download release on June 16.
